Araminta Spooke, or Minty as she is more affectionately known, lives with her Aunt Tabby and her Uncle Drac. Her parents went to Transylvania to slay vampires and never returned. Minty believes the big spooky old house is haunted although she has never seen a ghost or ghoul or goblin. Minty has a bedroom for every night of the week, and pre-planned activities for everyday. It is brilliant! She loves the creepy old stairs, the banged-up suit of armor that refuses to stay in one place, and all four kitchens. Unfortunately not everyone in the family feels the same about the house… Namely Aunt Tabby.
Instead of battling the ‘Buldge’ like so many women, Aunt Tabby routinely battles the boiler in the basement. Finally she announces that she has had enough and announces that they will sell the house and move into an apartment. This is where all the trouble—and the fun—begins. This story falls somewhere in the realm of Home Alone meets The Worst Witch. This is a totally adorable, family friendly adventure that everyone can enjoy.
